Have you gone through a major life transition and found that you’re struggling to adapt? Have you stopped experiencing the sense of energy and excitement you used to feel? Perhaps the ways you’ve been coping with difficult emotions aren’t working for you. Or perhaps you are just craving more meaningful connections with the people in your life.

If you feel stuck, are finding it hard to adjust to life’s changes, or just want to break free of old habits, I can help.

It’s not just you

It is common today to struggle to adapt to changes, find effective ways of dealing with unpleasant emotions, or create and maintain meaningful connections. So many of us never learned to deal with these kinds of challenges effectively, and it takes courage to ask for help.

Things can get better

When you are able to bring your life more in line with your aspirations, you will find that you have more energy and confidence to tackle what may have once felt overwhelming. You will be able to communicate with greater ease, and find yourself open to experiencing stronger connections. The skills you learn today will help you remain resilient when future life stressors happen tomorrow.

I provide counseling to those who:

  • Want to find better ways to cope with stress and anxiety
  • Are dealing with low self-worth, perfectionism, or self-criticism
  • Are experiencing challenges with personal or professional relationships
  • Have experienced a life change and want to clarify how to handle it
  • Want to improve relationships with family members or other loved ones
  • Are wanting to cut back or stop use of alcohol or drugs
  • Identify as polyamorous and are wanting competent care

Our work together

I will work with you at your pace to help you identify the goals most important to you, while also supporting you in letting go of whatever may be getting in your way. I work best with those who are ready to engage in the process of making changes. I bring a collaborative approach that involves education, conversation, and skill building.

I find it can be most effective to focus on your areas of strength as well as where you are experiencing problems, as I believe the strengths and skills you already possess can be used to help bring your life more in line with how you would like it to be.
